Eight Vegetable Hot Pot (Chup Chye)

Although this dish is of South East Asian origin it is also know as Chap Chye. It is made up of a mixture of dried and fresh vegetables and tastes better the day after cooking when the vegetables have had time to absorb the flavour of the sauce. Eat with hot Jasmine Rice.

Devil Curry

What do you do with left over Christmas turkey and ham. This spicy family favourite is very versatile and is suitable for any left over meat – roast turkey, ham, beef and pork – even chipolata sausages. A mixture of different meats can be used together.

Boxing Day Curry

Spice up left over turkey by adding it to Wing Yip Chinese curry concentrate.

Hokkien Mee

This Hawker noodle dish from Singapore and Malaysia is cooked in a broth made from prawns and pigs tails. As you may encounter problems obtaining pigs tails from your local supermarket I have replaced them in this recipe with spare ribs.

Vegetarian Spring Rolls

Some supermarkets sell spring roll wrappers. If you cannot get hold of them use filo pastry instead. For a different flavour, replace spring onions with 10g of chopped coriander.
