Ingredients
400g cold cooked rice
1 medium onion - finely chopped
2 tbsp Wing Yip Fried Rice Sauce (adjust to taste)
170g cooked prawns (defrosted)
2 tbsp cooked peas
1 egg - cook into an omelette and cut into strips
3 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp crispy fried onions (optional)
Cooking Method
Step 1
Heat the vegtetable oil in a wok and fry the onions until they are soft.
Step 2
Now add the cooked rice and stir well.
Step 3
Add the Fried Rice Sauce and stir-fry for about 3 minutes.
Step 4
Add peas and continue frying, add a little water into the wok if the rice becomes too dry.
Step 5
Add the defrosted (and drained) prawns and cook until hot.
Step 6
Season to tase and then spoon onto a large platter and garnish with omelette strips and crispy onions.
Step 7
Hints and Tips: Rice fries better if cooled completed. Add a little water to the rice to spearate the grains if it is a little lumpy. The water in the rice will evaporate on frying.
